THE OCCURRENCE.
HourBus eases in-city transportations.
The new e-Platform Urbanism.

The idea came into the pandemic as a logical solution for easing package deliveries in the city environment from businesses to customers, facilitating deliveries away from the shops' doors and closer to customers' hotspots in a few hours, as a win-win option.
We designed a method to transfer parcels "by bus" using vans moving in circular "bus-line" orbits at a schedule. Senders have to present the package at the drop-in on time, and the Receivers will receive it by showing the QR-code issued at the drop-in at the planned time.
We explored the idea further and found it a win-win speed and cost-effective solution to same-day transfers for the B2B and C2C transfers.
We designed the e-platform to have the leading role, and we saw a broader international business opportunity. We added Revenue sharing of Expertise Partners sharing lower risks as each invests in his expertise field.
Couriers will significantly benefit from using HourBus services at their peak times.

Solution & Product

The Stations were selected at set-up by:
-
Market-urban interest (Shopping Centers-city suburbs)
-
Driving time from Station to Station in less than 30' in peack traffic (Google Traffic).
-
Drivers have to reach the next Station before Service time.
Principal Parameters at District Set up:
-
Vans obey the System at the rhythm of the ticking clock, acting as Conductor in an Orchestra.
-
Vans report automatically transmitting exchange transactions or for incidents-no van tracking.
-
A van missing the rhythm will go automatically in "out of service" status until retransmitting. Parcels remain onboard or where the Systems note.
-
Parcels stay onboard even if non-show at the destination. Remain moving in the same destination District for 24 hours.
-
The consignee may pick it up from anywhere in its journey before or after the delivery time.
On incidents:
